Spring clean your spending: OVO Beyond helps households save and bank long-term rewards

London, Wednesday 8th April: As the UK prepares for the new tax year, OVO is helping customers bank rewards and save through its loyalty programme OVO Beyond. This comes as recent studies suggest that many households are looking to find ways to save and stay on top of their financial health.

With the cost of living remaining a significant concern for many, OVO Beyond – a dedicated rewards programme designed to make energy cheaper, greener, and simpler – allows customers to bank long-term rewards and access immediate discounts through several stand out offers:

  • Think small, win big: One lucky customer is already in with a chance to win 1 million Tesco Clubcard points in the grand prize draw, entries ending 20 April. That’s worth £10,000 at Tesco, or up to a whopping £20,000 with more than 100 Clubcard Reward Partners. Plus, five customers opted into Power Move can also be in with a monthly chance to win up to a year’s free energy by shifting power usage to greener times of day.
  • Immediate savings: Access exclusive discounts of up to 40% with partner brands including Oddbox, grüum, tado and Omio, and a free annual boiler service.
  • Banking for the future: Bank up to five free solar panels, up to 2,400 free EV miles when switching to an electric vehicle, and up to a year of free heating credit when purchasing a heat pump.
  • Music perks: Exclusive access to tickets for gigs at the OVO Hydro, The O2 arena and Co-op Live through OVO Live, plus regular giveaways available exclusively to Beyond customers.

While the start of the financial year often serves as a catalyst for life admin, it also provides a perfect opportunity to review finances. According to Money Ready’s ‘The Cost of Not Knowing’ study1, financial illiteracy has measurable financial costs, with the average adult losing over £640 in the past year alone because they delayed or misinterpreted key financial decisions. It also has emotional costs, with 39% of UK adults feeling anxious about money, and 27% feeling ashamed of their financial knowledge1.

Additionally, for the most vulnerable households, OVO also provides a £56 million Extra Support Package available all year round, to help customers save and receive free energy-efficiency products.

George Penman, Director of Propositions at OVO, said:

“At OVO, we are committed to making energy cheaper, greener, and simpler. We know that a little extra support can go a long way, and through OVO Beyond, we’re helping our customers feel more confident and in control of their energy usage. By rewarding customers for greener choices, we’re making it easier than ever to bank savings and rewards, while supporting a more sustainable future.”

OVO’s Beyond programme is available to OVO customers with a smart meter who pay via Direct Debit. For more information for customers on how to get started on their “financial spring clean”, visit our dedicated Beyond page.

Important information

  1. Terms and eligibility apply.

See full Beyond terms here and all Beyond offer terms here. All offers are subject to availability, and OVO reserves the right to replace or amend the range and value of available offers at any time.

Win a year’s free energy prize draw. A year’s free energy is calculated in line with Ofgem’s average Energy Price Cap for January-March 2025 for customers paying by Direct Debit, which is worked out based on a 2-3 bedroom house, with 2 to 3 occupants using 11,500 kWh gas and 2,700 kWh electricity per year. Credit may not equal one year’s free energy if you are a higher than average user or if the price cap were to increase beyond current forecasts. We’ll pay it as energy bill credit in 12 monthly instalments. For example, if you win a year’s free energy in January, the credit would be applied to your bill in February and each following month up to the last payment in January the following year.

Solar panels offer. The free solar panels offer is only available to OVO customers who also have solar panels and a battery installed with OVO. Solar panels are redeemable as a discount worth up to £500 when customer buys OVO solar installation and battery package. Average sized house requires 10 solar panels. Panels may be accrued over a 2 year period and redeemed anytime with either the 2 year accrual period or the 3 years following. Subject to availability. Discount based on current hardware costs. Terms and eligibility criteria apply.

2,400 free miles offer. Earn up to 100 free EV miles a month over 2 years up to a maximum of 2,400 miles to redeem when you join Charge Anytime. Free miles can be redeemed at any time during the 2 year accrual period or within 3 years thereafter. Compatible EV/charger required for Charge Anytime. Free miles payable as a credit to your energy account. Actual free miles may vary depending on type of vehicle, vehicle efficiency and driving style. Terms and eligibility apply.

Free heating credit offer. Bank one month of free heat for every 2 months you are with OVO up to a maximum of 12 months’ free heat worth a maximum redemption value of £630.48 to be redeemed as a monthly credit to your bill of £52.54 when you purchase a heat pump from OVO Solar & Heating team. One month’s free heat valued at £52.54. This is based on a gas boiler running at 90% efficiency (as per the national average for A-rated boilers) with an annual gas consumption of 11,500 kWh, 77% of which is used for space heating. Assuming an air source of heat pump with a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (or efficiency rating) of 3.5 will use 2,277kWh of electricity annually for space heating at 27.69p/kWh (current SVT unit rate at Q1 2026). Actual savings may vary depending on efficiency of heat pump and tariff. Terms and eligibility criteria apply.

OVO Live: Number of available tickets for Beyond customers set by concert promoter. Tickets and shows subject to availability, venue and ticket terms apply.

Power Move: A year’s free energy is set at a maximum bill credit of £2,000.
