London, 4th November 2020- OVO was awarded Best Consumer Proposition Award at last night’s EVIEs Awards.
This award category recognises businesses in the utility and energy sectors who have brought an impressive consumer-facing proposition to market. OVO won the award for its domestic Vehicle-To-Grid charger, which is now the largest V2G project in the world.
Connected to Kaluza’s intelligent energy platform, V2G technology allows drivers to charge their EV at cheaper times, when there’s a high volume of renewables on the grid. The bidirectional chargers allow drivers to then sell surplus energy back to the electricity grid – meaning they may never have to pay to be on the road again.
