Chris Houghton is an accomplished energy industry leader with over two decades of experience in scaling and transforming purpose-driven, technology-enabled consumer businesses in regulated markets.
As CFO and CEO, Chris was a key member of the leadership team that scaled OVO from a challenger brand into one of the UK’s largest independent energy providers.
Similarly, during his 6 years as Finance Director at Telecom Plus PLC (Utility Warehouse), he helped grow the business into the FTSE 250 through efficient execution and strong financial control.
Chris is joining us from Alfred Wholesale, an innovative multi-utility start-up that offers its members home-services ‘at cost’, and has recently held CEO roles at both egg Solutions, a Liberty Global subsidiary, and Teemill Tech.
